Welcome Cocktail

The first get together of all participants at the 15th IFIP World Computer Congress takes place at the congress venue (Vienna University of Technology, Wiedner Hauptstrasse 8-10, 1st floor).

Reception by the Lord Mayor of Vienna at the City Hall
Monday, 31 August
Participants are invited by the Lord Mayor of Vienna to a dinner at the beautiful and famous Vienna City Hall located at the well-known Ringstrasse. Participants will enjoy typical Viennese waltz music and have the opportunity to dance until midnight (Summer Ball).

Tuesday, 1 September
The Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS), an affiliate member of IFIP, is celebrating its 10-year anniversery with a reception at the Vienna University of Technology free for all participants of the Congress.

The program will be held in the garden of Casino restaurant on Margaret Island. A top quality four-course dinner of typical Hungarian cuisine will be served, live folkmusic and dance show will be performed.

The congress banquet will be held in the majestic halls of one of the most beautiful museums in Budapest, Ludwig Museum, in the Royal Palace, which is part of the world heritage.
