ICCHP Konferenzen
International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs
In 1989 the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) created a series of successful conferences in Centarl Europe dealing with the with the topic of IT for persons with disabilities: The first International Conference on Computers for Handicapped People in Vienna (ICCHP - now: International Conference on Computers Helping People with Special Needs) took place in Vienna.
The 2nd ICCHP took place in 1990 in Zurich and then biannually in Austria: 92 and 94 in Vienna, 96 in Linz and 98 in Vienna and Budapest (Austria/Hungary) as part of the 15th IFIP'98 World Computer Congress.
ICCHP 2000 with the subtitle 'CHALLENGE 2000' took place from 17.-21. July 2000 in Karlsruhe (Germany).
The 8th ICCHP '02 (15.7-20.7.2002: ICCHP in Linz/Austria) was organized in cooperation with the Johannes Kepler University (Dr. Klaus Miesenberger).
The 9th ICCHP '04 took place in Paris (July 7-9, 2004, Université Pierre et Marie Curie)
The 12th ICCHP 2010 will be organized in Vienna, Austria.
