Partner Organisations
The OCG Austrian Computer Society is a non-profit organisation. It is a platform for the promotion of information and communication technology with more that 1500 members. They come from the fields of science, economy, IT application, teaching and training.
In its function as umbrella organisation the OCG is represented with its members and working groups in the following international federations:
- IFIP – International Federation for Information Processing
- (international umbrella organisation)
- CEPIS – Council of European Professional Informatics Societies
- (European umbrella organisation)
- ERCIM – European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics
- (via its membership in AARIT)
- ECDL Foundation – Holder and licensor of the ECDL
- i-12 – Strategy circle informatics
- (German, Austrian and Swiss information societies)
- IT-Star – European IT association (A, I, SLO, H, SK, CZ)
The OCG has co-operation agreements and good contacts to sister societies like the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society (both USA), the GI – German Informatics Society (Germany) and the SI – Swiss Informaticians Society (Switzerland) and to other computer societies of central and eastern European neighbours.
