There were some problems of drop-out of participants. A significant number withdrew after their papers had been accepted. This meant there had to be a large scale change to the program. One presenter withdrew after having submitted the final version of their paper ( but before the final program was printed). Three presenters did not show at the conference-without any warning.
One other was unable to attend due to an airline strike, but he did inform me by email as soon as he could.. I am not sure why the drop-out rate was so high nor how it could be avoided.
