Abstract
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) & Usability Engineering (UE): An Interdisciplinary Challenge!
The Workgroup HCI&UE of the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) serves as a platform to promote this subject. With this regard the Workgroup is pleased having organized the first Usability Workshop with the motto: “Today together for better software of tomorrow”, which took place on 8th November, 2005 in Vienna. Our aim was to bring together Software PEOPLE and Usability PEOPLE and promote to bridge Psychology and Software Engineering. The successful blending of software engineering methodologies with user centered design will result in more effective systems for all users.
