The 32nd annual workshop of the Austrian Association for Pattern Recognition (AAPR/OAGM) was held at the Bildungszentrum St. Magdalena - “over the rooftops of Linz”, from May 26th to 27th 2008.
The workshop provides a platform for bringing together researchers in the fields of image analysis, image processing, and pattern recognition to discuss relevant and important topics in the computer-vision discipline. It is organized in workshop form, and presents the latest work of Austrian (Central European) and international institutes in the domain of computer vision and pattern recognition.
Special attention was paid to the theme “Challenges in the Biosciences: Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition Aspects”, in both invited presentations and submitted work. As result of a careful reviewing process, 19 out of 27 submitted papers from eight different countries were selected for publication in these proceedings.
