Competitions for children and young people

The OCG organises informatics competitions to promote young people and their computing talents. It facilitates the participation of Austrian pupils in the International Olympiad in Informatics and also participants in a number of other Austrian awards, like the CONSTANTINUS Award and the PRIP prizes.

Bebras Informatics Contest

Bebras - International Contest on Informatics and Computer Fluency - is a contest for kids that is organised in several countries. It playfully promotes the children's interest in computer science.


computer creative wettbewerb (ccw)

computer creative wettbewerb (ccw) has replaced the Jugend Informatik Wettbewerb, the oldest informatics contest in Austria, which was organised by the OCG in 1983 for the first time.

computer creative wettbewerb (ccw) is a creative competition for pupils from 6 to 20.


International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)

A team of four pupils from each country can participate in the International Olympiad in Informatics. Over the years a number of exceptional talents were found and promoted. Austria has participated in 23 IOIs so far and won 28 medals.
