The first OCG Journal 2024 is dedicated to young researchers in the field of computer science in Austria. A clear focus that runs through almost all articles is IT security, be it in the area of data protection and privacy or firewalls and vulnerabilities in software design. No one can avoid this topic.

As in the previous year, the young researchers who took part in the Young Researcher's Day of the Austrian Armed Forces ICT Security Conference, which was co-organised by the OCG Working Group for IT Security, were able to present their work in the journal. The authors come from various universities and universities of applied sciences and were recommended by the OCG jury members of the OCG awards.
