Robotic and automation have been playing an increasing role in manufacturing. Therefore, it is important to kindle young people's interest in technology and to promote technical understanding in the areas robotic, artificial intelligence and coding. Teacher workshops are held to ensure the didactic foundation empowers teachers to use the kits in their classes. The workshop of the project Open-TeaLeaF provides ready-to-use teaching material as well as the necessary hard- and software components to build and use a mobile roboter platform („Robotont“) in class. 

The workshops are organised in two online stages and one 3-hour training:

• Online stage 1 (1 hour): Introduction and presentation of the learning nuggets robotics basic which will be tought in the flipped classroom
• Online stage 2: Self-study of learning nuggets
• Workshop (3 hours): Practical exercises with robots. Topics are among others navigation, sensors and actors, ROS (Robot Operating System), SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)
